Took a risk and ordered the root beer ice cream. just plain ice cream with root beer flavor. Simple enough, its ice cream. How bad can it be? It was literally the worst thing ive ever eaten. I ate one bite and was absolutely revolted and tried to have a second, third, fourth, but then just couldnt do it any longer and threw it away. Told the guy working there how bad it was and he basically just said "sorry"... no offer to let me try something else. Seems like it wouldve been worth it to have a satisfied customer who would return but after this, there is literally no chance that you could get me to come here again. I have to say, this was probably the WORST thing I have ever eaten. I cant believe something like that was even on the menu. Imagine Robitussin ice cream, and you have a pretty good idea of what it tasted like. I didnt think such a thing as bad ice cream even existed. Congratulations, Sub-Zero, you proved me wrong!

Although the wait is a bit long sometimes, its understandable because they freeze your ice cream right in front of you. The best thing about this place is the options. Custom made ice cream just for you. If I remember correctly the last time I went there, they had added Bacon to the list.

Chewy ice cream is odd to me and seems like a sad side effect to their gimmick, nitrogen freezed ice cream. Asked staff for a recommendation for a "chocolate" ice cream and she pretty much had no idea what to say, which shocked me. Waffle cone was poorly made. Lots of money, would rather have gone almost anywhere. Maybe the the bakery next door.

It's a really cool process they have in making the ice cream! Liquid Nitrogen! You can't really say much except that it is delicious! There was only 1 person working and so it was a long wait, but once we got the ice cream it was worth the wait. That is one difference that I like about Cold Stone Creamery, is that every time you go there 5 people are standing behind the counter ready to help!

This used to be our favorite stop every time we go to Hurricane but this visit is going to be our last. I like the dairy-free made-to-order ice cream concept but they have reduced their portion sizes considerably and I felt cheated. The medium cup was only halfway full. I thought maybe mine was just measured incorrectly but when my bf got his it was the same amount. Reducing portion sizes is not an effective cost-cutting strategy unless of course you don't want returning customers, just saying.

Great costumer service. Super cool place to take your kids, they can see kind of science of ice cream making, they use liquid Nitrogen to freeze the milk, custard and yogurt . I ordered Dulce De Lichee and tasted yummmm. For sure I will go get different flavor in few days.

Nice product if you don't loose your appetite waiting in line for half and hour or longer. Staff seemed to just not care. Busy giggling in the back room or using their iPhone's. Nice product but just not worth the WAIT! When I complained to the Mgr. that the staff was playing around and not serving customers I was ask to LEAVE!! A seventeen/eighteen year old person should not be in charge of a business that wants to stay in business! That said, because of the poor service lines are getting shorter. I'd give them six months and they won't be there.

Line took forever. Not great customer service. Servers need to smile and show enthusiasm about work and product. Suggestion: take orders and call out order# or customer name when complete.

Once you get past the gimmick of the liquid nitrogen it's just overpriced bland ice cream that tastes like cheap ingredients and takes forever to get your order. My six kids thought it was great for the first 15 minutes waiting in line but then they were ready to go and we were still waiting. Total time from walking in the door to paying was a little over 25 minutes but to be fair it was a Saturday Night. When they finally each got their order I tasted them all and asked them what they thought. They said it tasted just like ice cream at grandpas which means Great Value ice cream from Walmart with Hershey's syrup. I had to agree. If they could speed the process and make richer tasting ice cream it would be a whole different story. So according to my kids get generic ice cream and topping and spray it with a co2 fire extinguisher for effect if liquid nitrogen is not readily available. My wife thought it was fun but we agreed there is better tasting ice cream around. In sub zeros defense on the time factor, they do make each persons order right there as far as adding the ingredients and mixing it up so it does take time but they need to take orders and then you can either watch them or just sit and wait.In other words I don't have to see my exact Krispy Kreme glazed donut made in front of me to enjoy watching the process. I thought for as busy as they were the employees were very nice and patient. It's just a slow process the way they have it now. Hopefully they get it fixed because it is a cute idea.

Milk and sugar turned into Ice Cream right before your eyes! What an experience! The quality of the ingredients is good, the atmosphere and decor are good, and the selection and options are good. Although, the selection and the fact that you get to build your own ice cream from the ground up are a double edged sword. Just because you like cotton candy and hot dogs doesn't mean you should order cotton candy ice cream mixed with hot dogs. Please, stick to the recommended flavor combos. You're not going to enjoy that Mint Ice Cream with Kit-Kats in it. There is a flavor on the menu called churro that is served with a churro on the side. I really like that one. Also, the birthday cake one is good. Add some carmel to it. I would recommend this place if you are over buy Best Buy or Walmart in Washington. It is a good spot to refill after a movie too.
